[Rising early as always, Thirteen makes his way out into the square.  Today would normally be his day to go fishing... but he had something else in mind this morning.  As he passed by the fountain though, there was a whisper in his mind.  Quiet, faint.  It was soft, far away... but there.  He then approached the fountain, where the voice

[Quiet as it is today at the clinic, Litchi's attention is caught pretty much immediately by that simple question. And she gives the journal an odd look for a moment before replying.]

David...? How in the world....?

[Where did you manage to find a fighter plane inside the enclosure? He can't possibly be joking, right?]

[Voice]

[Thirteen smiles at her confusion, admittedly.]

What? Can't keep my wings clipped forever, can I?

[He's surprisingly nonchalant. He knows something.]

[Voice]

I suppose not, but... where did you find the room?

[She can tell from that tone that he's on to something. The sheer surprise is starting to make way for realization: The Battle Dome upgrades. Is that it?]

[Voice]

[yellowthirteen]

Well... after your shift, why don't you and I just go see?

[It is the Battle Dome, but he's playing coy about it.]

[Voice]

[She'll just play along. After all, she knows how much it must mean to him to have his plane back.]

Well, in that case... I should be off work shortly. Should I meet you anywhere?

[Voice]

[yellowthirteen]

Out in the square is fine. I'll meet you by the fountain.

[Voice --> Action]

It's a date, then.

[And true to her word, once she's off work for the night, she'll just head out to the fountain to wait for him. With the sun setting and a fine mist being caught by the breeze from the fountain, it's definitely a refreshing break from the oppressive heat of the summer.]

[He'll be there. He's been waiting, in fact. But he had his reasons. She may catch him occasionally looking into the waters of the fountain as though something was distracting him.

But he'll give her a wave as she approaches. He doesn't move quite yet, but does look happy to see her.]

[Litchi is never able to fight down a bright smile whenever she sees him, so that's just what she does. Even though she does notice the glances towards the fountain. Still, smiling cheerfully as she sidles up beside him.]

You seem a little distracted today.

[Action]

[He just looks at that smile and shakes his head a little. Still, his own hasn't gone away.]

I think... one of the Filial Spirits is talking to me. Felt like when Nala was speaking to me awhile ago. ...Though it's strongest at the lake. And here.

...What was the water spirit called? Sona?

[Litchi gives him a curious look before nodding.]

I think so, yes. Although I have to admit, I've never heard from the water spirit at all. [Fire and wind are more familiar elements, after all. She's not exactly surprised, given the fire affinity.]

...Are you going to try to learn some of the water magic?

[Action]

Think so. Wouldn't hurt, I guess. Wind and Healing have been good, and I figure Water magic might be... useful.

It could certainly have its uses, I have to admit.

[She peers up at him curiously.] You've certainly been busy today, haven't you?

[He stands up and turns away from the fountain.]
