That would be be hilarious. I can't even remember why I picked the teams I did for them. I was playing some sort of geographical game, where they couldn't be too close but not too far either, and they'd have to be in the same conference but definitely not the same division, I guess? IDEK anymore. But I'm sure Ray Person would definitely sit on Jeff's head at some point.

And the first time Jeff quotes Ray to one of the refs they're too stunned to do anything about it because they've seen his rage but they still didn't expect that to be coming out of that baby-faced kid's mouth. Ray's on the bench giggling like a fool and Jeff sends him this totally proud smile while kind of giggling at the same time. And Jeff's blushing because Ray's so proud and it makes the outburst seem even weirder, so the officials kind of let it go, figuring they had to mistaken or something. While Eric is just facepalming because he knows that a good captain would never have let this happen, but he's not going to admit to himself that it might not have happened if he wasn't so worried about corrupting the rookie himself.

Which just makes Jeff blush even harder and Eric is totally not into that, he really isn't. And he's certainly not planning to crash the next get-together Ray and Jeff have because he's sure Jeff will be beat red the whole time. It's because he's a responsible captain and wants to help his teammates. Totally. But he doesn't expect to block him at the door, biting his lip as he says that Ray's having a rough time and Eric should probably come back another time. Eric doesn't know what's stranger, ray being sad or... No, nothing's stranger than Ray being sad. Then Jeff mutters something about a breakup, and Eric hopes Jeff isn't going to help Ray the way he helped Cam after his breakup one time. Jeff should definitely not be doing that with anyone. (Not even his captain, as Eric routinely remind himself.)

It doesn't take Eric too long to realize that Cam isn't talking to him so he puts on his captain face and pulls Cam aside for a serious chat. Only Cam looks really pissed and he's quickly asking what Eric has against gay people. Eric's confused for a second and then he says "I don't hate gay people?" Cam looks skeptical and asks why Eric is so freaked out by the gay bar thing. Then Eric realizes he can either have his friend mad at him or he can confess his dark secret. He thinks about it for a really long time, Cam staring at him expectantly the whole time. Finally Eric mumbles "ImightkindofsortofhaveathingforJeff." And Cam laughs his ass off for a really long time.
