I usually stay up and get my son off to school for seven, but I crashed and crashed hard sometime between 2:00 and 2:30AM. Whoa... and so the phone woke me around 8:45. I already have a load of laundry in the dryer and another in the wash.
I have fifty one LJ entries open to read. It's amazing how much y'all post over one weekend and those are just the long entries. If I missed anything that anyone must have an answer to, please let me know.
I managed to get my hands on Sims 2 on Thursday about 11:00PM. Our Wal-mart apparently stuck them out early. Talk about addictive.
Unlike the last edition, if you delete a character, it stays deleted.
If kids are bored, they won't do homework. If their grades go to shit, the social worker comes along and takes not only that kid but others as well even though they are well fed and cared for. Unfortunately, Sim parents don't have the option of slapping the kids upside the head, etc., or shooting the social worker as was suggested by my other half. Heh... I must admit that would prove interesting, shoot the social worker and the cops would come. However, playing "with" the shower or jumping on beds is great for the fun-o-meter for kids. The social worker arriving apparently is a glitchy thing. It looped three times before I reset my computer.
Babies can be washed in the sinks. Parents must also bathe toddlers.
Aging can be turned off for a household, adults get no older, but... the kids don't either. However, that gives the parents time to teach them to talk and walk as well as potty train them. You read that right... the only thing Sims seem to not do now is laundry.
When the game opens.. Bella Goth was kidnapped by aliens. Supposedly, she was dropped off in Strangeland or whatever the neighborhood with the alien family is. Apparently, women are kidnapped and never returned, but men are returned pregnant with alien babies. Oooh, boy.
I'm discovering more and more as I go.
Messages to friends will be posted in separate locked entries to protect their privacy. More to post on RP and stuff later.
