I did a search of Amazon for Patrick Dennis who wrote, Auntie Mame, An Irreverant Escapade. The book was originally published in 1955 and has been getting laughs ever since!
A sequel, Around the World With Auntie Mame is supposed to be released in September 2003.
Another book that looks like it might be a good read is:: Uncle Mame, the Life of Patrick Dennis. Dennis has a flair for writing about women.
