More political raving...

Ok... the French bashing has truly gone over the edge...

First of all, I'm a citizen of the United States of America and I'm going to call them FRENCH Fries if I damned well please. Use a rainpipe for an upward urinal if you don't like it or see if you can alter the Bill of Rights to stop me.

It's bad enough that people in Washington have ordered government restaurants to call FRENCH fries, which incidently the French call pomme frits or something close, LIBERTY fries... but THIS??? This is truly despicable! Can we go protest the stupid git of a Congresswoman that sponsored this piece of shit? Anyone have the address of her office so I can write her?

Folks in Florida... she's representing some of you. I hope that your opinion differs from hers and that if it does... you tell her about it.

She has bones to pick with France
Edit: possible dead link

Bill proposed to allow return of U.S. vets buried in France

That article sickens me to no end. Bad enough they are stirring up the living against each other, can't they allow the dead to rest in peace? Those cemetaries are considered American soil granted in perpetuity by the countries they are in.

We are going to the World War I tactics of changing the name to hide what something really is. Even the British Royal family, who should be called house of Saxe-Coberg-Gotha or Wettin changed their names to Windsor like it was supposed to erase the fact that Queen Victoria was of the German Hanoverian line and her Prince consort, Albert, was German as well. It didn't change the fact that Kaiser Wilhelm was Victoria's grandson either. Gives new meaning to family feud, doesn't it?

They all need to take a page from the Bard's book... "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet." Of course, some of them would still have thorns.

I just informed my husband of this bill, other than some choice words about the bill's sponsor... he said... "I have no words," but his tone said much. That's one retired veteran's opinion.... I can just imagine what the rest have to say.

politics, france, military
