The weekend started early for Ian (
uvjunkie) and I, as we both had Friday off in order to attend my bestest Uni friend Natasha's Wedding. I've not seen her since we left Uni, although we have kept in contact every so often. The Wedding itself was lovely, I was chuffed to pieces for her and I'm certain she will have a wonderful marriage. She's such a loyal and wonderful friend and a great catch. Richard is a lucky man! The Wedding itself was in Gloucester.
We headed back at around 8.30pm and Ian and I then made our way over to the Hatchet for West of Bastard. It was great! Only thing that could have made it better was if we had not missed Chris (
djlumpy) playing his set :(
Saturday and Sunday were both good days. Ian and I headed out to the Organic Food Festival on both days. On Saturday afternoon we were joined by Mat (
8w_gremlin), Liz (
xullrae) and Savannah. It was lovely to see you all! And I even held Savannah, and didn't kill her, so that was a bonus ;)
After they left, we met up with Michelle (
cyberspikes) for food before heading home. In the evening Ian and I wandered back to the harbourside and sat outside whilst the sun set, before heading back home for some takeaway and a DVD. T'was good.
Sunday at the Organic Food Festival we were joined early but briefly by Mat, Liz and Savannah again and then by my mum and Keith for the day. In the afternoon we met Michelle and Claire and later still Andy (
birdienumnum), Rowan (
mecurio) and others :)
In the evening we were naughty and had another takeaway and watched another DVD :)
Last night was lovely, I headed over to see Pete after work for several hours, was treated to a lovely bag of crisps and some good company! At around 8.15 I headed home and started getting dinner ready, as Ian had been busy sorting out the kitchen :)
Today at lunchtime I went swimming as usual with Keith, we did 32 lengths this week so we are doing well. We need to start swimming faster now though if we are going to get many more lengths swam in the time we have for lunch - I think at the pace we are going now we may squeeze in 40 if we are lucky but I doubt we will manage more in the time we have.
Tonite should be lovely - a few of us are heading out with Michelle for a meal to celebrate her 25th birthday! I can't wait!
Climbing tomorrow and I'm already excited. Actually, I've been looking forward to it since last Wednesday...
