“How much longer, dude?”
Sam sighed, “Research takes time, Dean.”
“I’m starving.”
“Fine, just… give me ten minutes.”
Rolling his eyes, Dean prowled the aisles restlessly. The books here were old, the pages yellow and musty.
Something caught his eyes and he picked it up. It was a children’s book, the familiar gold binding at the spine dull with age.
Dean flipped it over, read the title. “Mom used to read this to me as a kid.”
Making sure he was alone, he opened the book and, with a nostalgic smile, began reading the adventures of his favorite poky puppy.
