Ash hadn’t ever been what you could call religious. He was more of a live-and-let-live kind of guy. As long as you weren’t hurtin’ or hatin’ on people, more power to you. He didn’t need to go to church to believe in God. And he didn’t need to drop his hard earned money into a collection place to be a good person.
Sure, he had his flaws, but who didn’t?
And as far as Heaven went, he thought he had done pretty well for himself. His best memories were from Ellen and Jo’s Roadhouse. And, he got all the free beer he could drink. Life - or the afterlife - was good.
Now, as he listened in on the angels blabbing away in Enochian, his head came up, “Sam and Dean Winchester? They’re dead… again?”
He shook his head in amusement. “Man, those dudes die more than anyone else I know. Maybe I should look ‘em up, say ‘how do’.”
Just as he was getting up, something caught his attention. Frowning, he turned back to the laptop, leaned close to hear better.
“Oh, no you don’t, you angel pussies.” Moving quickly, he donned his favorite colorful mask and yellow cape. “Look’s like it’s up to me to save some Winchester ass.”
Tossing one edge over his shoulder, he struck a dramatic pose.
“It’s show time!”
