He doesnt understand her, he never will. She's complex beyond comprehension; she doesnt understand herself. Happiness and normality is what she craves; problems is what she is given. He thinks it's simpler than it is, that the past is meaningless- but its who she is; it's why she breathes. He thinks everyday spontaneity and being carefree is something to seek; she views it as the opposite of stability, of being the irresponsible ones she despises; a sign of not caring.
He is frustrated. She is frustrated. Their love was sweet; it's now growing weak. He is older with a childs mind- seeing the world as an adventure, possibilities. She is younger wishing she could see from a childs view, wishing she didn't know reality, or at least the ones she does.....
Will it last? Will he give her space? Or keep pushing her? He thinks she's not being open. It's not a choice. It's who she is. Her past is in her, it's not stories for sharing, it's part of her. Even if there were words, he could never fathom them.
She loves him. They want to spend their lives together. But every Sunday afternoon they fight. He threatens to leave if she doesnt explain her quirks, she tells him to go ahead, because there is no explanation; sometimes something just IS, he reads into the wrong things.
They yell, they sit in silence, they argue, they're frustrated. They agree or agree to disagree. They're quiet. They move on... and the tension builds again til next week.... How long will it last?
