Chapter 6!!!
yeah. it's another short one.
lot's of crazy stuff happening!
"Come in! Sit down!" Dean replied as Zoe and I walked into his office. Jimmy and Henry were sitting next to each other giggling while Freddy sat there smiling. I took the seat next to him and nudged him.
"What are you smiling about?!"
He leaned over to me. "I got a date for tonight!"
I gasped. "Really?! THAT'S SO GREAT!"
"DONNY! We're starting the meeting," Dean yelled. The room went silent. "Okay then. First off, I'd like to congradulate you guys on a fantastic show last night. It was truely wonderful and we got the best reviews from the Stranger." He tossed the local magazine on the desk
I picked it up and looked at the article, written by a woman named Janelle.
"The Divorce played an excellent show at the showbox last night, but they were completely blown out of the water by the real act of the night, I'm With Stupid.... The band played a few songs known and unknown throughout the audience, but the best performance was definitely when they ended the encore with Map Of The Problematique by Muse. Definitely a must-see in Seattle!" I read, skipping over the majority of the article. Jimmy snatched it out of my hands and eyed it over.
"Yes, I must agree with Janelle on that. You guys were so great. On second news, a big time record label president was there last night and wants you guys to put out a CD, so we're going to meet him tomorrow at noon."
I smiled wide and looked over at Zoe who had the same expression. We were finally becoming famous!!!
"We're going to take the songs you recorded a few months ago and turn them into a CD, release it next week, just in time for the tour. Which brings me to my next order of business."
Freddy smacked my thigh and nodded at me. This was the big moment. We were going to find out what band was at the concert last night.
"Are you guys availible next week?" We all nodded. "Good, because you are opening for the band Muse on their American tour and their European tour as well."
"EUROPE?"
"MUSE?!?!?!?!"
I almost fainted.

"...leave a message after the BEEEEEEEEEP."
"Jonah?! Where the hell are you? I'm sorry this is like the 5th time I've called you... but I REALLY need to talk to you! I've got -"
My phone started to make the incoming-call-beep so I clicked accept and heard. "Hi, Donny, sweets."
"JONAH! Where are you?!"
"I'm in Spokane. Sorry I didn't call you back, I've been really stressed."
"What's going on? Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I can't really tell you what's going on... it's really complicated. I got all your messages. You have something to tell me?"
"OH MY GOD! GUESS WHO WAS AT THE CONCERT LAST NIGHT!!!"
"Who, sweets?"
I took a deep breath. "MUSE!!!!!"
There was silence. "WOW! I'm so happy for you! Does that mean you guys are going to go on tour with them?!"
"Yeah! And we're signing onto a lable! So our CD will be availible next week!"
"I'm so proud of you Donny."
"Thanks. Are you sure you're okay?"
"Yeah. I'm just... really tired and busy. Look, don't worry about me... everything is going to be fine. I'm fine. It's okay really."
"Jonah, can't you just tell me whats going -"
"Look, sweets, I gotta go... but I'll call you as soon as I can! I love you! Bye!"
"Jonah! Wait!" Click. "Dammit. I love you too."
I set my phone down and layed back on my bed. I was full of different emotions. I was ecstatic about going on tour with one of my favorite bands. I was excited about finally being able to go to Europe. I was happy we were finally going to be signed. But I was scared and saddened by my talk with Jonah. What could he possibly be doing? Slowly I fell asleep. My first night this week without Jonah sleeping next to me.
