It aired here last night.

I had got to the point where I nearly didn't watch it. I thought, I just don't like these guys any more, and how can it really get any better? Then I watched this and thought OMG! It's almost as if someone on the team knows what they're doing at last. And then I thought, hang on a minute . . . who WAS on the team? So I ckecked. Yes, folks, we have Kripke himself to thank for what went right with that ep. He was listed as executive producer for Trial and Error. Now, if he will only continue to play an active role in fixing the season there may actually be light at the end of the tunnel.

Yep, Sam doing the trials is obviously to make up for his absence in the first half of the season. Only right and fitting, and that's coming from a Dean girl :)

Right?! It's like the remembered how to write Sam and Dean!! Only took them 13 episodes, good for them. XP

Wow had no idea Kripke was involved in the episode, no wonder it was good. I wish he would too, we NEED him but he's other show to focus on now.

It really is fitting, the writers had to give the poor guy something.

BTW have you seen all the hate the Destiel/Castiel fan's have be giving Jared today?! You know it doesn't even bother me that much anymore, they just make me laugh now.

Well Jared was asked during an interview if he thinks Sam and Dean would sacrifice Castiel to heaven to save the world or something like that. And he said he believed that they would. So basically the Destiel/Castiel fan's who hate Jared/Sam for you know getting in the way of Dean/Castiel's great love for each other and for just being on the show, where all up in arm's. Saying Jared as no idea what he's talking about etc even though he's played Sam/worked on Supernatural for 8 years, like what would he know right.

I mean how darn you Jared, for having an opinion on Castiel that isn't Castiel is the best character ever!! What a dick right?! XD

I was trying to find it for you on Tumblr so you could read the interview yourself but couldn't find it. Sorry =(

Sigh. It's all so academic. If a sacrifice was required Castiel would doubtless make it himself without having to be asked, and Sam and Dean would let him if there were no ther option. Hell, they've let each other make those choices so of course they would. And, IM(not so)HO, anyine who thinks Sam and Castiel could possibly get in the way of each other (in that sense) have a fundamental misunderstanding of the show's mythology. But there are a few fruitloops in all fandoms, I guess. The ones that have a go at the actors personally are the fruitloopiest, though, I reckon.

Sigh yeah they try and ruin it for everyone else. -__-

There's a scene in the new episode (don't worry this isn't a spoiler.) with Dean and it's about Sam right but the fucking Destiel fan's are trying to turn it into Dean/Castiel scene/moment. Really?! it's like banging your head on a brick wall. XD

The danger is that the show will tie itself in knots trying to please the conflicting demands of the rival fandoms instead of getting on with telling the damn story.

I found it!! -- "I absolutely think the boys would sacrifice Castiel to get rid of the angels. I think they are, not one-track minded, but goal-oriented enough to where you’ve seen them sacrifice themselves or others to try and accomplish a bigger objective … I feel like they would do it. I could be wrong, but I feel like they would do it." - Jared Padalecki (“Would they be willing to banish Castiel in order to rid the world of all the other angels?”)

True and it's going to put more people off watching. =(

That makes perfect sense. My feeling, though, is that the writers would find some loophole that would enable Castiel to stay. He's too popular with the fans for the show to get rid of the character. By the same token, I don't believe Bobby has gone for good.
