We knew she was going to die that night as we left her, but 4 straight days of living at the nursing home - literally, had taken it's toll on us we couldn't take it anymore physically or emotionally. So after four straight days of laughing, crying and singing her favorite Christmas carols to her, we said good-bye. The whole experience was so odd, because we wanted her to go. We wanted her suffering to end. To want someone who you love more than anything to die, is like going against nature.
The next morning mom sat on my bed in silence.
"Is she gone?" I asked. More silence followed and we both started crying.
But we're okay. We miss her, but in reality we've missed her for eight years now.
I'm putting all the information about her services at the bottom of this entry because some people have asked. Please don't feel pressure to come, but if you can it would mean alot.
