Well summer is upon us.
Did you know it's harder to get a job as a waitress than it is to get a job as a paralegal? I'm serious. I've been applying all over town and I have had to go through (with every restaraunt), a mini-SAT (including analogies, math, definitions etc...) and a personality test. Not to mention 3 interviews each. That's right: THREE. Jeez. I know it's demanding work but really (shhh!) don't tell anyone, but it's really not that hard to serve food.
Anyway.
We're painting the house. Guess this means we're really not moving. Thank god. Not that I wouldn't mind moving. But when we start to think about it my mom goes beserk and nags my dad who gets mad at me and Sammy and then Sammy storms out of the house, never to be seen again. Thus is the cycle. Entonces, I'm glad we're painting.
It's weird; I'm not missing people. I mean, I sort of miss them (in referrence to college friends) but I know they're somewhere near and that I'll see them again soon. Susie invited me to a graduation barbeque/pool party at her house in New Jersey in July. I'm excited. Joe will be there. Maybe Bren too. We'll see.
In other news, I've started to look for OBX houses. My parents are trying to decide whether we want to go solo or with another family this year. Therefore it's hard to look for houses because of the number of bedrooms. But still. It's exciting to be thinking about vacation. I love the Outer Banks. And I'm so glad we're going there instead of the Bahamas. I mean, it's tradition. And tradition is important.
