See You Again, Sasuke/Naruto
Naruto.
I thought I saw you today.
But I didn’t.
You see, he had that hair, that bright vibrant hair which could be spotted even miles away. But he didn’t have your eyes.
No one could ever have those eyes.
You see, you had the bluest eyes I or anyone had ever seen; it would hurt to breathe every time I used to look into those eyes of yours. It was with those eyes, which you used to relentlessly stare me down with every single time I did something you didn’t approve of. It was with those eyes, which you glared through every time I pissed you off with an insult, jeer or crude comment. But it was with those eyes, which would glaze over in heat every time we kissed. Those eyes that would get so clouded with lust and passion whenever they met mine, and only mine.
Those beautiful, big blue eyes.
The first time we ever laid eyes on each other was many, many years ago. That was before you became the hokage and I made anbu, we were barely genin back then. I can still remember that moment so long ago when I first gazed into your cerulean depths. I couldn’t breathe, couldn’t move, and couldn’t think. I had been beyond captivated. And I continued to be so, even up till that very moment.
The moment when you would never open your eyes again.
The last time I ever looked into your eyes was only a year ago. Ever since then, I could not stop thinking about them. I miss the way you would look at me, smile at me, hell, I even miss your glares.
I miss you.
Everyday, I wake up wishing it had been me who had died, me who had sacrificed his life for the village, me who had left this world. But it wasn’t. It was you. It was you who died saving Konoha. It was you who left and took that half of me that I need to live. I need your hair, you smile, your eyes. I need you.
But I know you need me too.
That’s why you left me here isn’t it. You really love this village, don’t you. And I really love you. So I’ll live each day, protect these people, protect your children and protect this village. Because I know that someday I’ll see you again.
