(no subject)
This semester has been pretty nice as far as workload. I only have two finals, one of which requires no writing, only an informal discussion. I can't believe that the only work left for me to do before I graduate is an English final! That's it! Everything else is done! I finished up my internship yesterday. It was such a nice way to end. I made an announcement over the loudspeaker at the end of the day (I interned at an elementary school), and so many people had nice things to say about the announcement itself and my work there. I waved goodbye to all the kids at the end of the day. I don't think I've ever received so many hugs in a day (thought that might change by the end of the month, heh). Some of the teachers presented me with a cute graduation balloon, a stuffed bear, some candy, and a $25 gift card that can be used at Olive Garden or Red Lobster. Soooo thoughtful! I got some cards from individual teachers too. I felt so appreciated!
I still haven't heard back from the elementary school position I interviewed for. I don't know whether that's a good or bad sign. I think they are just slow (it did take them 2 months to interview me). I would kind of like to know either way because if I don't get it, I need to start applying a lot of other places.
Now the wedding is less than a month away! Almost everything is done planning-wise. Kevin and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary yesterday. We saw a movie and ate tons of popcorn; it was fun! He's been busy preparing for the musical, so it was nice to spend a few hours with him.
The next few weeks are going to be a mix of craziness and boredom as things come to a close. Everyone keeps saying how excited they are for the wedding, some saying they have their outfits picked out already; that's so cute! At this point, I need to finish school before I can set my mind on the wedding, but I am getting pumped for the big day! It'll be nice to see all of my favorite people in one room!
