This guy's an asshole

Tonight started simply enough. I showered, brushed my teeth, but on clean clothes, and went out for dinner.

I hit Fridays, chatted up some travelers from Chicago, made nice with one of the cute bartenders there, and decided to see a movie.

When I got over to the movie theater, I saw Laura in the candy shop window, so I went in to say hello. I said, "Hey, Laura, gimme some sugar." She and I then set about making small talk until I left to see what was playing. Nothing I really wanted to see.

I start walking back to my car when Laura's boyfriend comes from out of nowhere and walks right up to me, getting in my face. He starts barking at me to leave his girlfriend alone and that if I ever go in that store again, he'll, and I quote, "Break my face,"

Frankly, it's not that important to me, so I gave it to him, but Jesus, what an asshole. I'm just sorry he wasn't stupid enough to hit me, what with the cop just across the street, and the fact that - whether I could have beaten him or not - I would have effectively ended his life. A prison sentence for assault and battery, and/or murder, tends to fuck up one's social agenda.

I just can't believe that I was actually threatened with violence because he's hypersensitive about his girlfriend. I can't believe that I was threatened with violence, period. Whatever happened to intelligent intimidation? It amazes me that there are still people out there who are so base, so neanderthal-esque, that they still rely on threats of broken faces to maintain their own pitiful sense of superiority.

I don't remember what this asshole's name is, but if you know who I'm talking about, and he comes into your place of business, just refuse him service. Say it's on the grounds that he's a dick. Just don't get fired over me, m'kay?
