I do absolutely nothing here at work. It's sad. I sit in front of a computer for 8 hours a day and get paid to play solitaire. On the rare occassion that I do have something to do, it usually takes no longer than an hour or two and then I am right back where I started. Why do I have no work, you ask? Let me tell you.
1) There are six (6) interns here on this floor alone, so there is not nearly enough work to go around for all of us, which means at any given time, one or two of us is working and then others are stuck twiddling their thumbs.
2) Corporate bureaucracy sucks ass and has yet to give me access to any systems in the network nor email, so anyone who wants me to do something who isn't within walking distance can't get in touch with me.
Oh, did I mention that fact that because I have no access to these systems, I'm a quasi-ghost employee and therefore don't get paychecks? Oh yeah, that's right, my money is all on hold until I clear the system. But wait, they have had two weeks of me working here and two weeks before I started working after I finished my paperwork to get me through the system. Have they done so yet? Noooooo. Will they be likely to do so sometime soon? No.
Forgive me the rant. It has been a long slow day.
Belated Bday shout out to Bro and J-lee.
Goodbye for now
