I'm hoping to go to Florida this summer, and I've decided that if I'm going, I don't want to be embarrassed about wearing a swimsuit and showing off my cottage cheese thighs and tummy bulges. This, of course, means that I need to lean out completely--something that I haven't been able to do in the past despite having done one round of P90X and two rounds of ChaLean Extreme, the last one doing doubles with TurboJam. So I have a new plan of attack:
P90X Doubles: I follow the weight workouts with a high intensity cardio or intervals workout.
With Bodybugg: and a 45%carb-30%protein-25%fat diet. That is, 45% of my calories should come from carbs, 30% from protein, and 25% from fat. I'm recording my diet on myfitnesspal.com, and I've already customized it for 1800 calories (which last time I checked, is how much I burn on a Sunday just sitting around on the internet) and those percentages. The Bodybugg helps make sure I'm eating fewer calories than I'm burning. I'm aiming for a 500 calorie per day deficit, which would result in 1 lbs lost per week. The workouts will make sure I'm losing fat and not muscle.
With thyroid supplements: My TSH levels were high when I had them check a year ago, but went way down once I started supplementing.
With vitamin and other supplements: I'm less hungry later in the day if I take a multi, for some reason.
So that's the plan. Asthma be damned. And I start tomorrow.
Anyone else have plans for getting in shape for summer?
