(no subject)
So, this weekend was pretty amazing. I've recommitted myself to pursuing God's goal for my life. I sang a duet with the director of music from Zachary UMC, Chris Dillard. He's an amazing musician, and he really helped me to grow personally as a musician and as a Christian, just in the past weekend that I've hung out with him.
I've recently decided [this past weekend, actually] that I am going to LSU, Honors College, if I get in, and I am going to major in Music Eduation, minor in either Music Performance or Spanish, or both. I am going to be as active as possible in nearby college programs at churches near campus - probably with University UMC and Istrouma Baptist. I might see if I can be a counsellor at St. John UMC or University UMC once I'm in college. Yeah, good stuff.
Acquire the Fire is this weekend coming up. That should be cool. I'll be selling band merchandise. So many exciting things are about to happen.
March 11 is a Methodist District thingy, which should be cool. I'll see some of the people I met this weekend there.
March 16 is LSU School of Music Preview Day! I'm so super-excited about this one..! I get to sit in with all of the music classes that day and yeah. I can't wait to sit in with the A Capella choir..! That choir is half the reason I'm going to LSU. I really really really want to be in it. 'Twill be amazing.
March 17 is my LSU School of Music Auditions. It is also the day that St. John's is performing "The Chronicles of Narnia," which will be awesome, because I love C.S. Lewis, and some pretty cool people whom I also met this weekend will be in it.
I'm not sure of the date, but sometime in March, BRMHS is putting on a comedy play, which Richard, and a handful of other people I might know, will be in. I'm hoping I can go to that. I went to see "Play On!" a couple of years ago, and it was superb. And, their little thing they did at Thespian Convention was very very good [which Richard conducted, just FYI.]
March 27 is my 18th birthday. It is also the Central Star thing..AKA CHS's ripoff of American Idol.
I think something is March 28, but I'm not sure.
My last day of school is May 9, and I graduate May 21. Y'all will be getting invitations in about a month.
I'm sure there are other things coming up. I just can't think of them. I probably won't post again for a while. [It's not like I've been posting regularly anyway....]
