Oh yeah, I requested my medical records from a doctor's office and turns out there was a mix up. I'll be receiving somebody else's records and somebody else will be receiving mine.

They left a message for me to destroy the ones I'll be receiving.

Great way to promote identity theft!

You could put a freeze on your SSN, so that no new accounts can be opened without calling you.

How hard can it be to mail the right records to the right person anyways?? Geez.

Apparently reallly hard. I don't know why, but I can still be amazed at the stupidity of people.

You have to call Equifax, Transunion, or Experian.

But unfortunately it is not a guarantee!
