Back in the 'burgh

Well, back from France.

Had a great time. Injured my coccyx (tailbone) by slowing down from about 35mph to standstill using only my arse on bumpy ice. Also, strained my shoulder by faceplanting on the first day. Lesson learnt: don’t try huge jumps on the first day of the holiday. By the end of it I had improved, but not in a way that anyone who doesn’t snowboard would care about.

On the social side, got to hang out with the randoms we got in our chalet all week. So aside from my immediate family there were: two PE teachers who may have been lesbians, a 72 year old Victor Meldrew wannabe, two IT guys (one, an American called Aaron was cool, as was his mate Mark, a grade 8 trumpet player who plays in orchestras part time), a professional nanny who gets paid way to much to look after rich peoples new-borns, and a couple who were both tri-athletes training for the Iron-man competition. So quite a varied group. Interesting to get a glimpse of peoples lives, no matter how brief.

A few more incidents of note, including me nearly getting hit in the face by a chairlift and a 30 ft drop. But if i told all the stories now, what would i talk about in the pub?!

No real news apart from that, aside from my deep desire to get all this Uni stuff out the way so I can get on with the rest of my life and get back to making some music!
