IMPORTANT: CHANGES

Jun 25, 2011 18:29

I said I'd go with a majority of the poll for voting. However, because people also made comments in the posts about not being sure what to vote for cause they were in between yes and no.

So, I've decided to go with a semi-compromise.

This is how it will work from now on.

1. I turned off moderation, so your posts should automatically be posted.

2. The ONLY icons that will go into voting are for claims that have ENTIRELY been COMPLETED (all 100 icons).

3. Once you've completed your claim, you will use the voting submission post that's already up (but I'll be editing it to reflect the new changes). You then link directly to ALL icons that were SETS and 10 of the icons based on the individual themes.

4. Also, you no longer need to worry about tagging your entries -- that was so I could tell which was for which card, etc but with this new system, that's no longer needed.

5. Then, at the end of the month (the 20th), I will post anything submitted for voting up to vote on --- HOWEVER --- there is an addition to this rule. There HAS to be at least 3 claims worth before I will post them for voting.

Example --

Jan - 1 person finishes a claim [not 3, so it rolls over to next month]
Feb - 0 people finishes a claim [not 3, so Jan's rolls over again]
March - 3 people finishes a claim [that's 4, which is at least 3 - they all get posted for voting]

I just want to make it worth posting the voting, and so that we're not voting all on the SAME persons icons (cause, where is the point in that? that isn't a competition)

IN conclusion - I will be deleting posts on the voting submission posts that are from people who haven't finished their claims yet. The people who have, and posted, I'll keep there. Off hand, though I am going to double check, I don't think we have 3 finished claims this month in this comm so any that are finished, will roll over into next month.

The crossed out part was incorrect -- I will be deleting ALL submissions on that post, since, even if a person finished their claim, they can only submit 10 individual icons -- not the previous 25 and I am not going to assume which ones people want used. You will have to RE-POST if you finished a claim with my apologizes.

I hope everyone is okay with this change.

Now, if after a few months, this doesn't seem to be working out --- then we'll just move to removing voting altogether but I thought I'd compromise and try this first.
