VACATION IN THE WORKS.

So I've been desperate for a vacation since the whole ordeal got started. I kinda consider this my last hazzah because I have no way to vacation once everyone leaves. I have animals and no one to care for them so that's out of the question.

I've been planning it as a solo vacation because I actually just desperately want to travel alone right now. I didn't even care where I went as long as I got to spend the night in a hotel alone. Though, a nice destination wouldn't hurt either.

The convention that I desperately wanted to go to was sold out a year in advance and hella-expensive. Plus I'd need a passport to go to Canada, so that's out. Then for a while I was off and on about Disney World, which I really want to go to... but that's too damn expensive to do alone I think. Then I looked into Disney Land... which for some reason is more expensive than Disney World.

Last night I overheard plans for my roommates to all take a vacation all over (probably disney world and various other places) and they didn't even talk to me about it so it's clear that I'm out of the picture. So desperation increased by twenty.

TODAY I FOUND IT. I'm going to go to Universal Studios California. I'm going to do a four day vacation. One day to fly down and enjoy the hotel, two days for the park and California things, and the last day to fly back home. The whole trip is probably about $1000 not including food and spending.

I'm expecting $1200 back on taxes, only including myself. I'm supposed to file for taxes jointly with Sal because of BS government crap and then split the return. I haven't inputted Sal's things into the tax calculator yet and I'll be fucked if I'm giving him any of that $1200. If the number goes up because of his stuff, he can have the difference. If it goes down, I'm going to tell him to file separate and deal with it. Frustratingly, I'm expecting to put all of the return into fixing the house so we can sell it... but I desperately need/want this vacation. Maybe I'll work something out where they can just have all of my next two paychecks or something...

Hell or high water, I'm going to Universal. And I'm not going to tell them where I'm going, either.

maybe I can talk mom into going to Disney with me in the fall....

vacation, taxes, universal
