Concerning work:
I love my new job. Wish we could learn it a little faster... Not to mention get some sort of hand book or something as all this insurance paper work is confusing. ...OH! ...And they REALLY need to type out the damn insurance forms. I can't read the hand writing worth crap. So next time you think it's a good idea to have your doctor write something down and send it in without typing...HIT THEM REALLY REALLY HARD!
Concerning school:
So I spent one year at a college in Texas. Apparently Texas thinks it is all high and mighty because their college courses are arranged completely different from ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE FRIGGEN USA! Instead of English 101, the class was called English Comp and Ret. 194 or some random number. Instead of Math101, it was Math 075. ALSO... Apparently Texas college credits are ONLY good in Texas. Unless you go to some high and mighty college, you don't dare leave the state. And the whole credit system is royally messed up. Instead of 5 credits, they are 3. Despite the fact that you go five days a week...They are 3 credit classes. 2.5 for the average one.
In Texas, I took English Composition and Rhetoric, Intermediate College Algebra, College Algebra, American History (the early years), General psychology, Biology, and a few other basic classes.
I come to Washington State... They do a transcript evaluation form... Guess how many credits transfer? Hmm? Oh, I did get credit for English, Math, and psychology... But only 4.5 credits. ......FOUR POINT FIVE CREDITS for each class.
So in order to get my degree... I have to take HALF A CREDIT of each class. The classes themselves are worth 4-5 credits. ....HOW THE HELL DO YOU TAKE HALF A CREDIT OF A CLASS?! Just... BUH?! And they don't want me to retake the classes I already took. They want me to start at English 102, and Math 107! Because if you retake a class, it overwrites the original credits and what not.... I can't start from there! I haven't taken english or math in .....Over three years! I have to start math from the very beginning again!
Oh... And our counselor told us to take this one speech class because it would count for the credit. According to the degree audit... It didn't count for jack shit. So we also have to take another speech class.
I would just like to take this moment to say: THANK YOU TEXAS! You truely have made my life SOOOOOO wonderful! These past 19 years really have been FABULOUS! Really. Nice state. Pretty wildlife while it's still there. Friendly people if you are a white male that speaks english....
