Sometimes you shout at the internet and no one hears you

Today I had the morning off, so I explored a bit. Then I came home and shouted at a deserted slack chat. Recording it here as well, because why not.

"population statistics are blowing my mind right now

artemis[10:57 AM]10:57I found the public pool and rec area for Independence

artemis[10:57 AM]then got mad because it's only for residents

artemis[10:57 AM]but it's free

artemis[10:57 AM]while Seven hills charges hundreds of dollars a year to use their rec center, which has the only pool

artemis[10:58 AM]turns out even though seven hills is small there are 11 thousand people living there?

artemis[10:58 AM]and only 7 thousand in independence???

artemis[10:58 AM]but also

artemis[10:58 AM]81 thousand people live in parma

artemis[10:58 AM]guys I don't think I have a good grasp on how many people are alive

artemis[10:58 AM]let alone near me

artemis[10:59 AM]although I was NOT wrong in thinking that a lot of them are old

artemis[10:59 AM]everyone

artemis[10:59 AM]everything about our existence is insane

artemis[11:00 AM]how can there be so many people alive

artemis[11:00 AM]and I can't be bothered to know the names of half the people I work with

artemis[11:01 AM]how can I be mad about free or expensive community pools

artemis[11:01 AM]how can anything

artemis[11:01 AM]guys help

artemis[11:02 AM]I feel existential but I still have to go to work in a couple hours"

statistics, existential horror
