Long Time Coming

Aug 02, 2011 21:56

The special science/math/whatever high school on the ground level of my workplace started classes yesterday. I was very surprised at how early it was, but beyond that, I also felt just plain weird. I've been working there for over a year, but only when the students returned did I really feel it. It's been A YEAR. I have never worked that long that consistently, anywhere. To witness the entire cycle of a place like the science center, and to see it begin to repeat, was very odd. I could understand why someone would work there for a long time - things change every couple months, so it's really quite easy to stay interested, even if the day-to-day stuff gets frustrating or monotonous.

Anyway that's all. Of course, everything about my life will change in three weeks. There's no point in holding onto this feeling.

existence, work
