it's that time of year; I didn't even realize it
The Yearly Meme: Go to your LJ Calendar and find the first entry for each month of 2007. Post the first line (or such) of it in your journal.
January: Currently addicted to: Daddy by Jewel. possibly already stated that in another entry, but i don't feel like checking.
February: the bonus from last sem that i was wondering about is in tomorrow's paycheck, and it's 170 dollars! zomg!
March: i will always remember a particularly good poetry piece back in the days of high school speech and debate...at some point the guy was pounding on his chest with his fist, like a heartbeat, saying over and over "My life is crap. I hate my life. My life sucks." over and over, louder and louder, more and more desperate. that is the image i get in my mind on my bad days.
April: Reaction: Damn, that was smooth.
May: so it's kind of surreal to be still awake as the predawn light begins to change the sky after a day of work and illness and three finals and such and to look out the window and see someone cleaning one of the professors' offices. especially if one thinks it's a professor organizing papers at first. like whoa.
June: oh man. so. if you've ever thought that "Stayin' Alive" was a terrible song, you have to realize...it could have been worse. much worse.
July: This is something I've been gathering opinions about for a while, but forgot to put up here: Birth control pills - yay or nay?
August: bizarre dreams lately!
September: Find out what people want, usually in their stomachs
October: small triumph over the minions of evil today!
November: I've realized that my relationship to writing is often similar to that of an anorexic with his/her body, insofar as I always feel like something is terrible, even when I worked really hard on it, but usually it isn't.
December: Yesterday and today were weird.
meanwhile, procrastinating so much on that lit review. i just...i have never had this much trouble doing something in my life. I guess tomorrow's the last chance though. oh well?
