Sweet Sixteen and Lord of the Rings
So yesterday was my 16th birthday. YAY! But I think there's something wrong with me. I didn't have a huge blowout bash with 250 guests and a musical performance by Diddy. In fact, I had a Dairy Queen Ice Cream cake. Yum. And I went to Beantowne and hungout with Ashley and Michelle for a while. It was fun. =D
I'm listening to the soundtrack for The Fellowship of the Ring. It's such a compelling soundtrack. Poor Mr. Frodo. You were so innocent. :[
The funny thing is, when I read the book, I didn't feel so bad for Frodo, because he was about a middle aged hobbit when he went on his journey. In the movies, however, poor little Elijah Wood is so young, and he had a happy life ahead of him. It's not fair what happened to him.
I remember going to the Return of the King in the theaters, and I feel apart when he went off the the the Undying Lands. I always thought it was a metaphor for death, right? It's just so devastatingly beautiful.
Peter Jackson is amazing.
