High school senior year. One thing, or rather, one year I would never forget. Fun filled memories. Endless banters and bickering. Almost failing marks and late projects. No care in the world. That’s how most students in my class describe their last year in high school. In my case, it’s almost the same. The only difference is that I start to live in regret.
There is one thing that I really wanted to do. I planned for days but when the right time came, I backed out. That was my biggest mistake. I should have told her I like her.

2 months before graduation
“Damn! I should have done this stupid project last week! Argh!” Yoona ruffled her hair in frustration.
“Shut it Yoong and continue typing!” Sooyoung said.
It was 2:00 in the morning and they were in Yoona’s room, typing away. They have a project due in 5 hours and they were still in the middle part of their research paper.

One message from Kwon Yuri
KY: Hi.. uhm..are you done with your paper?????
Yoona was biting her lower lip, effectively preventing her from squealing in delight. Her crush for years, Kwon Yuri, just pm-ed her.
IY: Nope T^T you?
KY: no:(
IY: which part are you now?
KY: Conclusion :)
IY: Aww.. good for you..
KY: why? What part are you in?
IY: explanations

Yoona was busy surfing the internet instead of reviewing for her exam. She’s the type of student who doesn’t review for exams but still pass (well, it works only with Math and Science subjects). Sometimes she wonders how she manage to pass the exam.

Yoona squealed in delight. This is, again, one of those times when her crush just shows up in her chat box.
IY: uhmm..i haven’t study
True. Im Yoona never studies for math.

KY: forgot everything I memorized. Hehehehe

“Just approach her.” Sooyoung said.
“Why do you mean?” Yoona shifted her gazed to her best friend beside her. She was watching Yuri, who was across the room, reading a book.
“I know you want to talk to her. You’ve been staring at her for the past 30 minutes. Don’t deny it.”
“uhm..”
“I was the only one who saw you, no worries.”
“I have nothing to say to her.”
“You sure about that?”

“Just ask her out.”
“I’m not sure…”
“Look Yoong, she’s not in a relationship or anything. Same goes for you. You’ve been liking her for quite some time, so why not say what you feel.” Sooyoung said.
Yoona thought for a while. Sooyoung has a point. Why not talk to Yuri?
She was about to approach Yuri when their classmate popped out of nowhere.
“Yuri, Mrs. Jang is looking for you. She wants to talk to you.”
And just like that, her chance to talk to Yuri flew out of the window.

The graduation ceremony just finished. Students are with their parents, crying and hugging each other, with either their mother or father telling them that they did a great job and were very proud. But for a certain doe eyed girl, it was a totally different case. Her parents were busy chatting and laughing with Sooyoung’s parents, while she was looking for the tanned girl. She’s going to tell the other girl how she feels, whether the other accepts her feelings or not, it’s okay for her.
It’s graduation anyway, we’re parting ways for college. She reasons out.
She looked for Yuri in the auditorium but the girl wasn’t there. She walked through the hallways of their building, still no Kwon Yuri. Bored and tired, she decided to enter their classroom and take one last look.
When she opened the door, she was surprised at the sight. Kwon Yuri was sitting at her desk! Of the 40 desks in the classroom, Yuri chose Yoona’s.

“Hi.” Yuri greeted and gestured Yoona to sit beside her.
“Hi. So what are you doing here?” Yoona played with her fingers.
“Nothing actually… well taking time to absorb things maybe..”
“Still can’t believe we just graduated?”
“yeah. Something like that. How about you?”
“I was planning to have one last look at the classroom.”
“I’m gonna miss this room.” Yuri sighed.
“Me too.”
“So many fun memories… and people I’m really going to miss..”
“hahaha.. yeah.” Yoona chuckled at the memories during their last year, especially Sooyoung’s crazy antics.

“I really really wanted to tell you… for the longest time… I-“
“NOONA!!!” A young boy’s voice echoed through the hallways. “Noona! Let’s go. Umma and Appa are looking for you.”
Yuri groaned. “Fine.” She turned to back to Yoona. “hey. I’m sorry, I have to go.’
“oh. Okay. Take care.”
“You too.” Yuri stood up, ready to leave when she suddenly bent down and gave a quick kiss on Yoona’s cheeks then ran off.
“What was that.” Yoona said, as she stare off to nothingness cupping her blushing cheeks.
