NEW CAR?

Jul 23, 2008 15:30

I realized that you really shouldn't take your car for granted.

i was driving back to coral springs July 11th on the turnpike to finish picking up the rest of my stuff, since i'd been in gville for the past week.

I was in the rigth lane, an escalade was in the left and just a liiittle bit behind us. the car in front of me braked so I braked, but I was going to hit them anyway if I didn't do something so I tried to switch to the elft lane, lost control of the car, hit the guardrail, bounced back into traffic, hit the Escalade which then went through the right guardrail and went airborn into a ditch, landed upside down. My car ended up back on the right side of the road facing the right way but was all sorts of fucked up as well.

That was like, what, 12 days ago? I now know that my car is a TOTAL LOSS. So I need a new one. State Farm is paying for all of my car EXCEPT like $216, I'm opting out of the rental car I'm entitled to since I'd only have it till Sunday, and I am instead getting $170 for the total loss of use for the rental. Putting that money towards the rest of my payments for GMAC, so then I really only have $46 left to pay off.

I need to start looking for a new car, sooooo...
