Hello! I finally went to see The King's Speech last Monday! It was well worth the wait; just amazing. Colin Firth deserves every bit of recognition he gets from this. Awesome, he is it! We went in the afternoon, so it was nice and quiet in the cinema, just the way I like it. Ever since my second viewing of Harry Potter #7 and ALL THAT RUSTLING I have decided lunchtime/early afternoon is the only way forward. However, due to the nature of the film, being 1930s/1940s there were a lot of oldies in the small audience and one man had to read out every bit of text on the screen in a very loud whisper to the woman he was with. Not heard of glasses, clearly. There was also another woman wearing ear protectors through the adverts, of the sort you would wear to do industrial scale grass strimming. :/
I have been far too impatient this week, hoping to hear something back about the job in York, but it's far too soon.. hahah. I am muchly over-eager. Must calm down.
I have not sleeping very well this week, one night I was awake for at least three hours, for no real reason, other than my brain would NOT switch off. Very irritating. Among other things I was trying to think of ideas for some things I want to put on my new Etsy site. When I am asleep I am having weird dreams; dreams including getting married, losing 15 seconds in time somewhere, rowing with mother and not being able to find a new roll of receipt paper at work.
It does not help matters that Mitzicat has developed a habit of rooting around in my waste paper bin in the middle of the night. I don't have a clue as to why. There's nothing in it worth rooting around for. She does rather like rustly noises though, and there's a strong possibility she's doing it just for fun. Well, I've got news for her; it's NOT fun, and it's NOT FUNNY. Pfft.
My birthday is looming. I have been asked by family what I'd like and I have absolutely no idea :[ It's really frustrating, because I am sure there must be things I need, but I cannot think of any. I don't have any CDs or DVDs to ask for. Why can't people just look for something without having to ask me? Am I really that hard to buy for? I thought I was quite easily pleased... I'm not feeling very excited about it. 27 years old doesn't feel like something one should get excited about, really.
Unless anyone would like to buy me tickets to go on the Orient Express? Now that would be an awesome birthday present!
I should probably be making things for my aforementioned Etsy shop. There is nothing on it as yet. I am starting over completely fresh, so none of my old stock is on there. I might put some of it on after I get some different photographs taken. I want to try some different ideas first though. I hope it does better than the last shop! I guess it can't do any worse. Har.
