Cookies: gingerbread

1/2 c shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1/4 cup water
2 1/2 cups all- purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon soda
3/4 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon allspice

Cream shortening and sugar
Blend in molasses, water, flour, salt, soda and spices
Chill 2-3 hours

Roll to 1/4 inch thick
10-12 minutes at 375
