online friends?
So I was talking to one of my crazy friends today and I was telling her about livejournal and how fun it is. Then I asked her "Do you ever talk to strangers online?" She looks at me all freaked out and says "STRANGERS?!?! Do you know how dangerous that is? That's like one of the worst things you could do!"
I said calm down and it's with people my age and we share the same interests so it's fun.
"You don't even know who you're talking to. It could be a 40 year old man behind that computer tricking you into thinking he's young,and then he wants to meet with you, and then next thing you know he kills you or rapes you, and then he cuts off your fingers and toes and puts them in a bag or suitcase, its usually a suitcase~" And then she was interrupted by me cracking up. I was trying to keep a straight face during her lecture but I just couldn't hold my laughter in, especially after the fingers and toes in a suitcase thing.
I know this is a serious matter and isn't funny, but everyone should know when things start getting too personal online. Be careful you guys and stay safe because it's true that sometimes you don't know who you are really talking with. To end this I would just like to assure you guys that I AM NOT a 40 year old guy haha and hopefully you guys aren't too!
