this kawaii-jyan comes from ME who is a GIRL and maybe CHILDISH like 5 years old little girl... ppl who don't know the language often use the words which you remember in the beginning . so he uses the word I used it often and it's natural I guess since we are together. capici? you don't have to come here like you are one of the anonymous and say stupid things...
I think that's the childish things ever...

What's childish is grown women using the word kawaii every five seconds. If you love your boyfriend, you wouldn't want him to sound like a 5 y.o. girl. Correct him when he talks like that. Otherwise he'll continue to sound like an idiot.

and by the way, you need to cool down. I didn't mean anything bad by telling your boyfriend. He obviously didn't realize that he was talking like a girl. He's not a toy - teach him to sound like himself in Japanese.

I mean if you really wanna suggest people something, don't do like "Yikes, stop doing that coz you sound like a child" ,but do like " hey you sound a bit odd so you should say this way blah blah blah." I think when you suggest people something, there's a way to tell people, and what you are doing is, not a　suggestion, but just provoke anger,unpleasantness or discomfort.

but thanks anyway, for not showing yourself, and a nice suggestion. I actually think that many of my gaijin friends use ~jan! etc thing and yeah,maybe it's a bit odd but cannot be helped.it's funny too. there are not many ppl like you who are super smart so can use language cleverly, and have a policy to use which word for which etc. I would really love to hear you speaking japanese though. you must speak super good. i think much more than me!

Well dictionary-guy, if I want to sound like a 5 years old girl it's my problem, I have no issue with that as I don't need to prove to anyone that I'm not ; I'm pretty confident about that ^^.

Sure, it's your prerogative if you want to sound like a 5 y.o. girl. But my understanding from your post is that you do not. I don't think as a guy, you should learn Japanese from a girl at all - at least not everyday speech. There's no way your girlfriend is going to talk to you in formal speech, after all. So learning from her is just a bad idea.

The reason I pointed it out is because I am tired of Japanese people laughing at great-big gaijin men speaking like little girls.

Yeah OK. You're confident about who you are. That's beside the point. If you're going to talk like that, you'll still look like a complete idiot and a 5 y.o. GIRL.
