it always happens, doesn't it? people always disappoint. ah'm 38 and ah still haven't outgrown mah need for heroes. ah always admired john lydon. incredibly working class and very honest, feminist and not racist. or so ah thought. even when ah didn't agree with him, ah admired him. ah dunno what to make of him anymore. he's gone stark raving mad. otoh, P.i.L. is reforming. Yay!
then there's emma thompson. not only mah fave actress, but an amazing woman in general. funny, smart, talented, beautiful. but even she is pissing me off lately. she originally had signed the roman polanski petition but has decided to take her name off the petition thanks to a convo with a young student. don't get me wrong - ah'm thrilled she came to her senses but wtf was she thinking in the first place?!
