obama repealed the global gag rule! ah worked all day yesterday so ah didn't get to participate in blog for choice day. ah did do it a couple years ago tho, so ah'll copy pasta it now:
this is why ah am pro-choice:
* every child is not a wanted child. every pregnancy is not a wanted pregnancy.
* pregnancy & childbirth can KILL. it can also ruin one financially, mentally & physically.
* abstinence education is a sick joke. it does not work. in the usa, it seems to be the standard. buy a clue, mcfly.
* birth cuntrol fails. abstinence is not a valid choice for everyone. sex is not for procreation only. the childfree & those who have enough kids have as much right to enjoy their sexuality as anyone else.
* parenthood should be a choice, not a punishment for women who enjoy their sexuality.
* adoption is sometimes an alternative/solution for parenthood. it is NOT an alternative/solution for pregnancy & childbirth.
* fetus v woman? women are already born human beings. their rights trump the rights of whatever is growing in their bodies. women are not just walking incubators.
* abortion is a medical decision for a pregnant woman, no one else.
* you cun't be a feminist & be anti-choice. NOT. POSSIBLE.
* no, ah don't care if a woman has an abortion or several. ah'm pro-choice, not "pro-choice, but".
