Writer's Block: Annals of Animal Warfare

Wow, a lot of the answers to this one kind of suck. Very well, then. First, we'd have to set up a battleground. Can't give either an unfair advantage. Probably place the two in a tropical coral reef, as the Megalodon works well in open waters, and the Squid preys on the blind creatures in the deepest of waters. Secondly, we would have to assume that the Megalodon is approximately the size of a humpback whale. The jawbone is all we have going for it, seeing as how they lack any other body parts that can easily be fossilized, so we have to guesstimate. The Giant Squid would be around the same size, anyways, so that evens the size field. The fight can probably begin at this point, but really, it's anyone's guess as to who would win. I'd say the Giant Squid merely based on  bias, but it's likely that assuming the megalodon bites down on it before teh Giant Squid's violently flailing tentacles don't rip off the shark's hide first, then the megalodon would win.

If they were both furries (scalies? idk.) though, all bets would be on the giant squid, hands down. The brain-to-body ratio would be huge on the squid, so in a fight between the two, I would assume that the squid would have the utmost advantage.
