To those on my friends list, this is a mandatory membership-requirement post for a particular group.
Please ignore it if you're not sure what's going on.  Very sorry for spamming you guys.

BL / Slash Pairing: Gingo - Adashino from Mushishi.

I recently re-read my entire collection of Mushishi.  This is one series where each chapter/story really does linger in the mind.  This time round, what did linger was a conversation I had some time back about Ginko-Adashino Slash.
Now, first off, I know doujinshi of this pairing exists.  In fact, it's popular enough that Japanese language doujin appear for sale on Ebay every so often (which happens to be how the conversation started).
Mushishi Slash?!  Isn't that a horrifying thought?  Is nothing sacred these days?
The answer is, of course, that particularly prescient internet rule #34 - Yes,  "There is porn of it."

There was some resistance initially, but on third (or was it fourth) thought, my BL-fangirl self kicked in.
Really, Ginko-Adashino slash is cool.  In fact, it's more than cool.  Think about it...
They're both loners.  Ginko, due to certain psycho-physical issues,  is itinerant to a fault.  Adashino is obviously obsessed with Ginko's ..... stuff... (it's close enough for a fangirl).  They're definitely comfortable around one another.  In fact, I've never seen Ginko more relaxed than when he's around Adashino.  Most importantly, isn't Adashino the ONLY recurring male character and close male friend of Ginko's? Yes he is.  Look, at the very least, they can be sex friends right - it's perfectly normal for two men who spend lots of one-on-one time together to develop a deeper relationship... la, la, la.

That settled, the important slash question remained.  Who's the seme?

This is important for slash.  I mean the naming system.  Do we have Ginko x Adashino, or Adashino x Ginko?
After thoughtful debate, my fellow conversationalist & I agreed.  Ginko and Adashino have to be reversible.  They definitely take turns.
Just look at the way their characters interact in the manga.  Certainly, neither one dominates the other.  They're competitive, but neither consistently has the upper hand.  A true relationship of equals!
Hence, reversible.  They probably have to do jan-ken-pon to decide who gets to seme ;-P
