Boris Nemtsov: “Luzhkov against Medvedev, a deadly struggle”. Medvedev has refused to attend the Day of the City (of Moscow), which is against the tradition established since 1990s. An article has been published in the most popular Moscow's newspaper by Luzhkov's people claiming there are only two threats for Russia: Khodorkovsky's release and Luzhkov's resignation. Medvedev knows about the corruption in Moscow and the role of Luzhkov's wife in the city's business, but he is afraid to fire him. Finally, Luzhkov has stated that he is for building the road through the Khimki forest, which is contrary to Medvedev's intentions.
