Here is a fable well describing the political situation in Russia during the past ten years. When Lion, king of the forest, passes away, the animals decide to elect to his place a Jackal, who promises them to punish Lion's enemies. After getting power, Jackal allows wolves not only to guard the forest borders, but also to reign freely inside, while foxes, magpies and vipers glorify the new tsar on the TV screen…



В одном лесу однажды Лев (ведь смертны все!) скончался. Трон опустел. Горюют звери. Но тут шакал один попался. Случайно мимо хищник проходил, учуяв запах смерти за версту. Шакалу сердобольному страданья жителей лесов терпеть невмоготу. Резину долго не тянув, Шакал и предложил свою кандидатуру...
