Greenpeace activists blocked access to the Ministry of Natural Resources in Québec City yesterday to disrupt regular business in protest against the destruction of Quebec’s intact forests. They also hung a banner reading: “Boreal Forest: The Destruction Starts Here”.
“The ministry’s regular business has been to approve forest destruction for decades. Today, we are here to disrupt that business and we need your support to send a loud and clear message to the government,” said Nicolas Mainville, Greenpeace forest campaigner.
