Holey Moley! I've been following the production of Where the Wild Things Are since they released that tiny photo in Entertainment Weekly some months ago. Any any photos since have been a delight as it looked incredibly promising, but I was still holding onto doubts. Well now they've released the trailer and it looks fantastic!

The characters are spot on and looks like the living breathing illustrations of the original children's book. Now I wasn't a huge fan of the book when I was little, that is to say it wasn't one of my childhood favorites. But, I did like it, and I highly appreciated the art style which is unique and different from the other books I'd read. And I recall liking the animation which is also a great adaptation, story and art wise.
Also, from my understanding, those aren't CG characters... those are live action costumes! I know! Amazing isn't it! It gives it such a refreshing feeling compared to a lot of new techno HollyWood bullcrap. CG was used in some parts, as far as I know they used it in the facial area for expressions and such.
Anyway, I'm excited to give this thing a go!
