Am I Missing Out?

Hello everyone. This is just a very quick question I have...

Dr. Who ... Torchwood. Everyone on LJ seems to be really into that fandom. At least, most of the people on my flist who share all my other obsessions (H/D, Merlin etc).

So, I've never watched the show... AM I MISSING OUT? SHOULD I START WATCHING IF ONLY TO READ ALL THE FIC THAT THERE IS?

Dr. Who is AWESOME!!!! One of the most brilliant shows there is. Completely brilliant.

Torchwood is fanstastic Gay Crack, though not to everyone's tastes.

(I have not read much fanfiction in either)
