Soundwave was awesome!
Soundwave was awesome.
1. I met up with my friend Ra and her friend Toby. When we got in we went straight to merch- the line was frikkin huge. But we finally got to the front and I bought a Forever The Sickest Kids t-shirt.
2. Ra wanted to see Alesana so we went there. I stood on the side of the mosh and looked after her and Toby’s bags while they went and moshed. I’ve never actually listened to Alesana before, but their set was pretty darn awesome. They’re such good performers- they were so funny and amusing to watch. And the guitar player/back-up singer was so awesome omg. He made the craziest faces and was touching himself and lol.
3. Ra went for the Alesana signing and I bought tickets for the FTSK signing.
4. Walked around for a while.
5. FTSK!!! They’re set was amazing. And omg there were so many fanboys it was so lol. About 5 minutes into the set some guy ran out on stage holding a huge sign that said “BULLSHIT” on it and was prancing around, and you could tell that the Kids were so not amused. Security came out and pulled the guy away, but he ran back on. And tbh I found it quite amusing but felt bad for the Kids. When the douche left, Jon was all “Sorry about that guys. He wasn’t invited to the party. But you guys were!” and Caleb was like “I bet his boyfriend made him do it.” Lmao.
6. Got food. Sat outside the mosh for Underoath because Ra wanted to watch them but couldn’t actually get into the pit.
7. FTSK signing omgomgomgomgogmomg. I got to the front and Kent was the first one and I was all =D and gave him my SW timetable to sign. He underlined FTSK on the timetable and put an arrow and then his name. And the line wasn’t moving along so I was stuck in front of him and Austin And I was all awkward cuz I didn’t really know what to say. And my paper had moved all the way down the table and had already been signed by all of them. So I’m stood in front of Austin and he was so cute and trying to make conversation with me:
Austin: You look like you’re having fun. =]
Me: Yeah, I am. =D =D
Austin: I like you’re earrings.
Me: *feeling my earrings to see which ones I’m wearing* Aw thank you. I love them too.
Austin: *gets his sharpie and draws a dot on my hand* *cheekyface*
Me: Hey that was rude. =O
Austin: =| =|
Me: I was kidding.
Austin: Ok =]
Then I asked if I could take a picture of them, and I did. Then the line moved along and I was in front of Kyle. Omgomg he is 4745827584973258493 times more good looking in real life holy crap.
Kyle: =D Hey how are you?
Me: Awesome, you?
Kyle: Good. =]
*awkward silence*
Kyle: *starts singing some oldschool boyband song*
Austin: *joins in*
Me: That’s beautiful. That’s really beautiful.
Kyle: *spits all over himself* *continues singing*
Me: Ew you just spat on yourself. Ew.
Kyle and Austin finish their duet. I take a photo of Kyle and move along in the line. Caleb was next but I didn’t get to talk to him because some fanboys were hogging him. =[ So I’m standing in front of Marc and go to pick up my sheet of paper.
Marc: *takes paper to sign*
Me: You’ve already signed it.
Marc: Oh haha.
Then I left because the line moved. And just omgomgomg best thing ever! It totally made my life. Well, ok maybe my year. Whatever it was amazing.
8. We went to sit by the stage Hellogoodbye were playing on and listened to their set. And after them was Funeral For A Friend so we stood on the outside and watched them. Then I had to leave to go to my tutorial and uni.
9. On the way back from uni I was at a traffic light right outside of Soundwave and it made me sad because it was 8:30 and that’s when Silverstein were playing and I’d wanted to watch them. But oh well. Meeting FTSK totally makes up for missing Silverstein. Haha.
