Meh...
So, season 5 of Angel has been sort of a bust for me. I'm not even half way through so maybe I'm speaking too soon but there seems to be a "disconnect," to use Angel's word. It feels like the mission has been lost, like Cordy has just been forgotten, and like everything that happened prior to the beginning of S5 doesn't necessarily matter. Am I the only one who felt like this? I mean, I like it. It's funny and there's good moments, i.e. Spike, but beyond that I'm not in love with the show like I was. I hope this isn't just because I miss Cordy/Charisma but I can't help but feel that might be a reason. Also, what happened to Gunn and Fred? I mean, I knew they broke up and whatnot at the end of S4 but they weren't that cool about it at the end and now it's like they've easily moved beyond it, which makes me think that it wasn't necessarily that serious between them even though they made it seem that way. Plus, on a superficial level, I don't like Angel's hair at all. lol It's just weird! Wes is as hot as ever and Gunn is as hot as ever. I really love that he became a lawyer. :D AND Lorne! I miss my bb! He doesn't seem to be there, at least not in the capacity that he was before. :( I'm just feeling meh about this season is all. *sigh* We'll see what happens when I get further into it. One thing I am looking forward to though is "You're Welcome."
On a personal note, I am seriously hating this horrible heat here in Texas. Ugh! Today was disgustingly humid. And I think I need a new mouse and headphones. Oh and I'm so glad to almost be done with this semester of school! Two more weeks of classes and then finals week and I'll be done with a hellish-like semester. I think this might not be the last time I take three math classes at the same time, but for now I'm gonna be so glad when it's over. I love the subject, but my goodness is it stressful as hell!
Enough of that. Back to Angel I suppose...and a little FF and maybe some homework tonight though I haven't made up my mind about that. *sigh*
