Even though I'm a bit burnt out on young boys who have to fulfill their magical destiny, the visuals on this (and Irish accents) make it look really promising!

no not the evil disney trailer, the french one is so much better. We thought this was a joke trailer when they first sent it to the studio. There's two comics to go with the film, I'm going to see if I can bring some copies to MoCCA [though so far we haven't got an english version printed just french and dutch]

HA! That's why I stopped judging films by their trailers. You never know how much more awesome they may be :)
I take it your studio worked on this? Or do you work at Cartoon Saloon? I forget these details!

Agreed! French trailer is awesome! I can't wait to see this, even if I have to go to Canada. (I hope it at least gets into the Ottawa festival!)

Yeah I work at the Cartoon Saloon and we hate young boys who have to fulfill their magical destiny too! That was Disney Ireland who put the trailer together and it was actually alot worse then that and we got them to tone it down a little and they replaced the lovely font our art director Ross had done with the ugly disney font. Still they did give it a massive push in the cinema here so we shouldn't really complain [but I will anyway :p]
