wait...did that just happen?
So my roommate Kristen and I got pulled over for speeding in BFE last night when on our way to a HIGH SCHOOL graduation party of a friend of a friend of a friend...or something like that. Anyways, the officer comes up to our window and turns out to be super hot...and I mean SUPER. He flashed his flashlight in the car, as I tried so hard to keep the bag full of beer that I had by my feet covered by my giant-ass cd case.
I spit out something like "We are super lost."
And he said "Well, where are you heading?"
"We're on our way to a high school graduation party," Kristen told him.
"We're looking for Cemetary Drive."
"Where are you from?" the officer asked us.
"Fort Myers. We go to FGCU."
"Do you know what county you're in right now?"
"Umm. Hendry?"
"Yeah, that's right. Do you have the directions to where it is?"
I read him the directions the dumbass boys gave us, and he seemed kind of like he didn't have a clue...
"Do you know the last name of the people holding the party?"
"No."
"What about the address?"
"Uhh. No."
"Well then."
He kind of just looked at us. Probably questioning something like "Why are these college girls headed to a high school grad party?" or "Why do they look so sexy tonight?" Ha.
Then came the classic line...
"Do you know why I pulled you over?"
"Yeah, I was speeding..." Kristen said.
"Do you know how fast you were going?"
"75."
"Actually 77...in a 60."
He asked for all the normal things and went back to his car. Ten minutes later he comes back.
"Well ladies, turns out you're in the wrong county. In fact, you're 20 miles in the wrong direction. I looked up the streets on my GPS...this is how you get there....BLAH BLAH. I'm inclined to give you a ticket for speeding, but.......I'll let you go. Have fun at your party and remember 'Click It or Ticket' or something..."
The hot cop walked back to his car and sped off and Kristen and I looked at each other and broke out laughing. We seriously got directions to a party from an officer after he pulled us over for speeding. HAHA. What a ridiculous beginning to a ridiculous night...
