I found a new motivation for updating. I recently acquired "America (the book): A Citizen's Guide to Democracy Inaction," by Jon Stewart. This book is absolutely hilarious, yet strangely informational. Which brings me to my next point and the reason for my more frequent updates. I figured I would share with my thousands of adoring fans (ok, who am I kidding...there are only about 2 of you) some interesting snippets of Jon Stewart humor. Today's installation is from: How Laws are Made...

"Once out of committee, a bill then travels to the floor for a process known as floor action, which is 70-75% less hot than it sounds. The bill's backers are "given the floor" to describe its benefits, while the bill's critics are expected to sit quietly and limit dissent to eyerolls and muffled "homosayswhats?" Increasingly, debaters make their points with C-SPAN's two cameras in mind, leading to a dramatic growth in the use of misleading charts (see misleading chart). All legislative speeches and documents are then entered word-for-word into "The Congressional Record" to preserve the nations wealth of pompous bullshit for future generations."
