Woo! Another sporadic journal entry! I just got back from Scuba class. It's like J-term! We sat in the classroom for 2 and a half hours without a break. But, it's interesting and sometimes very funny. Anyway, tomorrow is the pool class which is way more fun (and exhausting). We're basically a 1/3 of the way done with the class. There are two more pool sessions and one more class, and then 4 open water dives. I'm looking forward to the open water dives, but I'm also a little nervous. There is a lady in my class that is also nervous, and verbally so. She asked about a million questions tonight and made it very clear that she doesn't want to go deeper than 25 ft. Which, I can understand. I'm not sure I'll feel comfortable going that deep either. Who knows, we could get in the water and I'll not want to go past 20 ft and she'll be cruisin' on down to 50 ft. Anyway, it's good to ask questions, especially with something like diving. I'm sure other people thought of stuff to ask but didn't want to speak up. Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day, because we have a "process improvement meeting" at work. The sound of it is enough to scare you away. We're not holding the meeting AT work because we're obviously not "working" very well at the moment. So we're holding it off-site and hopefully will get some stuff ironed out. My office is having some teamwork issues, and some general issues related to how stuff is processed and who deals with what. So we have this 4-5 hour meeting tomorrow to work it out. I'm anticipating that it may not be entirely productive . We'll see how it goes.
