Rewatched 千と千尋の神隠し aka Spirited Away for the nth time yesterday. It's such an awesome film that the word "awesome" is not enough to depict its awesomeness. If i still make sense xD

So here i'm, dedicating this post to the award winning Miyazaki Hayao film from Ghibli Studios :) Selected some screencaps and did some adjustment to the brightness and contrast. I assume this is not a spoiler since most of us should have seen it right?

So the story began with Chihiro, a young girl who's feeling upset about moving to a new town.

Her father took the wrong turn and brought them to a mysterious place where Chihiro has a bad feeling about.

They went in nonetheless and beautiful buildings greeted them..

However as night falls, weird creatures started to appear.

Chihiro's parents, who were to obsessed with eating the food which were meant for the "Gods", turned into pigs.

Chihiro herself starts to become transparent but she met a boy named Haku who helped her.

With Haku's guidance, Chihiro travels to seek for a job which is the only way to guarantee her survival.

She met Kamaji, who told her he had enough workers and that she had to approach Yubaba, the witch who rules this land which is actually a bath house for 8million "Gods".

She travels in search of Yubaba while encountering interesting "Gods" and customers of the place.

Yubaba agreed to let Chihiro work in the bath house. But "stole" her name and Chihiro became Sen.

The bath house buzz with live as night comes.

Sen met a creature named "No face" which wanted to be friends with Sen badly.

Sen also soon served her first customer, the polluted "River God", which won her recognition in the Bath house.

Meanwhile, Haku, who's a dragon, got himself injured by stealing something from Zeniba, Yubaba's twin sister, under Yubaba's orders. Sen tries to save him, along with her new friends.

Sen and her friends, together with No face, travels to the outskirts of the land in search of Zeniba to apologise to her on Haku's behalf.

(spot Sen and her friends!!!)

Zeniba's house lamp greeted them and led them to Zeniba.

Zeniba is actually a nice witch, totally opposite of her evil twin, Yubaba. She forgives Haku and even advises Sen about her relationship with Haku. Zeniba calls Haku "Sen's boyfriend". xD

They all work together, knitting Sen a pretty hair tie.

They all worked, tired but happy.

Haku came to fetch Sen back and to Sen's joy, he had recovered.

On the way, they remember that they had met each other when Chihiro (Sen's real name) was still a kid. Chihiro had once fallen into a river where Haku was in.

Chihiro informs Haku that his real name is Kohaku. And they sort of dance in happiness in the air.

Chihiro's friends also bask in Chihiro's tears of joy :)

Back in the bath house, everyone cheered as Chihiro passed a test from Yubaba and is allowed to return to her own world with her parents.

Chihiro's parents went back to normal. And everything went back to normal as Chihiro bids Kohaku goodbye with a promise that they'll meet again someday.

And i thank Miyazaki Hayao for such a wonderful film. Not forgetting Joe Hisaishi for the beautiful music~

I LOVE films from Ghibli and 千と千尋の神隠し has to be one of my favourites :) Watch it if you haven't seen it. I recommend this film to everyone of all age, race and gender. It's truely a masterpiece of the century.

Lastly, i hope everyone here had a blasting Christmas!! Let us embrace 2011 with open arms!!!!!
